With the rising demand for renewable energies and the generally positive image of solar power systems, there is a growing interest for visually appealing and easy-to-install fastening systems for previously less-used areas: building facades, soundproof walls, solid balustrades and balcony railings.
S:FLEX has developed suitable solutions for different ways of installing photovoltaic systems vertically. Aesthetic and technically sophisticated solar facades can be realized with the insertion system, which is available completely in black. And the balcony system offers particularly safe and stable mounting for the uncomplicated, permit-free way to your own, self-consumed power.

The advantages of the S:FLEX insertion system at a glance:
- Can be installed as a PV facade system or used on noise barrier walls and solid balustrades on balconies
- Components for a special look also available in black
- Suitable for module frame heights of 25 to 45 mm - using just one type of insertion rail
- Thanks to the hollow chamber profile, the rail has a very high static load-bearing capacity for a larger span with fewer roof connection points
- With newly developed module clamps that combine the advantages of floating installation and firm clamping: no rattling of the modules and no thermally induced glass breakage or micro-cracks
- Aluminum spacers integrated in the module clamps make the installation and maintenance of additional rubbers et al. redundant
- Simple grounding
- Service-optimized: Modules can be loosened and removed with just a 5 mm Allen key thanks to maintenance gaps
Components
ELS Fix Clamp
Allows for thermal linear expansion despite the PV modules being firmly clamped. Clamping upwards ensures a flat module surface even with module frames that are less high. Spacers are structurally integrated.
ELS Insertion Rail
Mounting rails that are suitable for all module frame heights and particularly stable statically, as they are designed as a hollow chamber profile.
ELS Cross Adaptor
Ensures structurally identical properties in the area of the rails and the connections.
ELS Side Cladding
Continuous side panel for an all-round closed module field.
ELS Eaves Cladding
End panel for a high-quality look. Components and rails underneath remain hidden.

With the S:FLEX insertion system, PV systems can be implemented with module surfaces that fit harmoniously and coherently into the look of the building, despite the low installation and maintenance costs and without sacrificing functionality. This is ensured, among other things, by the innovative module clamp and the one-for-all insertion rail. The insertion rail of the S:FLEX modular system, for which a patent has been applied, is not only structurally particularly stable, but also simplifies storage thanks to its universal usability.

Securely keeps the distance to the vertical bars of the parapet and allows a module pitch of up to 8°.

With balcony power plants producing solar power for immediate consumption, apartment owners and tenants can also save energy costs and actively contribute to the energy transition. More and more people are making use of it, especially since systems usually do not require a special permit.
To ensure that attachment is just as easy and safe as operation of the system is, S:FLEX has developed its balcony system, which, with the combination of module slides and guide rails, is not only particularly securely and easily installed, but also has a longer service life thanks to the linear bearing of the modules.
