1. Collection and storage of personal data as well as the nature and purpose of its use

a) When visiting the website
When visiting our website, www.sflex.com, the browser in use on your end device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected and saved until it is automatically deleted (in this case, each dataset is anonymized before it is saved by changing the IP address):

  • anonymized IP address
  • date and time
  • browser type and version
  • operating system
  • page visited/name of the file accessed
  • volume of data transferred
  • URL of the referring website

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • to ensure well-functioning connection to the website
  • to ensure convenient use of our website, evaluation of system security and stability, as well as
  • for further administrative purposes

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest for data collection is based on the purposes listed above. In no case do we use the data collected for the purpose of making inferences about your personal information. We also use cookies as well as analytical services when you visit our website. b) When using forms
You have the option of communicating with us via online forms. A valid email address must be provided so that we know who the request comes from and so that we can respond to it. Other information can be provided on a voluntary basis.
The transfer of the form data is encrypted (SSL encryption) to ensure secure transmission.
Postal addresses and email addresses that are provided as part of requests, orders for informational material, or general contact are used exclusively for the correspondence. Data processing for the purpose of contact with us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR on the basis of your voluntary consent. The personal data collected by us for use of the contact form is deleted upon request after the request you have submitted has been handled.

2. Disclosure of information

Your personal information is not transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only pass your personal data on to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR
  • the disclosure under Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR is necessary for the purpose of the assertion, exercise or defence of legal rights and there is no reason for the assumption that you have a legitimate overriding interest in your data not being shared
  • if there is a legal obligation for the disclosure under Art. 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR, or
  • this is permitted by law and pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR is necessary for the performance of contractual conditions with you

3. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device when you visit our website. Cookies do not damage your end device, do not contain any viruses, trojan horses, or other harmful software.

The tracking methods that we use, listed below, are used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. We use these tracking methods to ensure needs-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use tracking methods to statistically measure usage of our website and to evaluate this usage for the purpose of optimizing the web content we offer to you. These interests are considered to be justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

Google Analytics
For the purposes of needs-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter called "Google". In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies (see Section 3) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

  • browser type/version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • host name of the computer used to visit the website (IP address)
  • time of the server request

are transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. 6. Right to objection

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to revoke granted consent at any time, as well as the right to complain to a supervisory authority. If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to formally object to the processing of your personal data if there are grounds that arise from your particular situation or if the objection is made against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object that is implemented by us without specification of any particular situation.
