Versatile, safe, durable

The majority of roofs on German houses consist of bricks (roof tiles, pantiles, interlocking clay roof tiles, plain tiles, slate). The robust sloping-roof frame from S:FLEX represents the ideal solution for reliable anchoring of solar panels. It is stable and storm-proof, weatherproof and durable, yet in harmony with the architecture, not least thanks to details such as black anodised components and end caps for the rails.

PV mounting solution for roofs with foil or bitumen roofing and sandwich roofsThe Flat Direct from S:FLEX is an innovative PV mounting solution for roofs with foil or bitumen roofing as well as sandwich roofs. This aerodynamic system is thus particularly suitable for industrial roofs with low load-bearing capacities.

The S:FLEX Flat Direct can be used on a variety of roof shapes with a maximum pitch of 30° – saddle, single-pitch or butterfly roofs, one-sided or double-sided, with framed modules installed vertically or horizontally.

Pre-glued foam pads with a high coefficient of friction and optimum material compatibility under the aluminium floor rails ensure a secure fit with minimal ballast, while the system design includes wide gaps between the modules to ensure optimal rear ventilation and create a suction effect in the direction of the roof. Depending on the roof shape, special ridge angle connectors, counterweights or mechanical couplings ensure even greater safety when anchoring. Any necessary ballast stones are clamped to the floor rails so that they cannot slip.

Like all S:FLEX mounting systems, the Flat Direct also allows quick installation thanks to a high degree of pre-assembly and our proven modular system with pre-assembled modular rails, mid and end clamps for all frame heights and our user-friendly clickable technology.

The advantages of the S:FLEX insertion system at a glance:

  • Aesthetically pleasing modular surfaces with clean finishes for pitched roofs with any type of tile covering as well as metal roofs
  • Can also be installed as a PV façade system or used on noise barrier walls and solid balustrades on balconies
  • All components for a special look also available in black
  • Suitable for module frame heights of 25 to 45 mm - using just one type of insertion rail
  • Thanks to the hollow chamber profile, the rail has a very high static load-bearing capacity for a larger span with fewer roof connection points
  • With newly developed module clamps that combine the advantages of floating installation and firm clamping: no rattling of the modules and no thermally induced glass breakage or micro-cracks
  • Aluminum spacers integrated in the module clamps make the installation and maintenance of additional rubbers et al. redundant
  • Simple grounding with optional pre-assembled grounding clips
  • Service-optimized: Modules can be loosened and removed with just a 5 mm Allen key thanks to maintenance gaps

An innovative module clamp and the one-for-all insertion rail ensure that aesthetics does not mean sacrificing functionality .

On corrugated and trapezoidal sheet metal roofing and roofing sheets, installing photovoltaic systems on the S:FLEX sloping-roof frame not only safely anchors the system, it also ensures optimum protection of the roof membrane, flexible configuration options and maximum cost efficiency.
